eubacteria

 Eubacteria
 Eubacteria classification
There a may ways to classify eubacteria. One of those ways is shape.
    Eubacteria have three different shapes.
     1. Cocci (which is round and bumpy)
     2. Bacilli (that is shaped like a rod)
     3. Spirilla (which is like a spring)

Heres more info on eubacteria classification

A picture of the shapes is down below.

Symmetry
Another way of classifying eubacteria is by symmetry.
All eubacteria have bilateral symmetry which means that they have the property of being divisible into symmetrical halves on either side of the unique plane.

Nutrition
Nutrition is another way of classifying eubacteria. There are two types of ways that eubacteria receives nutrients, autotroph and heterotroph. Autotroph means that the organism produces its own food and nutrients. Heterotroph means that the organism gets its food and nutrients from other organisms. Eubacteria can be autotroph or heterotroph.

Reproduction
All Eubacteria reproduce asexually in a process called binary fission. The process can be seen below.

Cell type
All eubacteria are prokaryotes and unicellular. Prokaryote means that there cells lack membrane-bound nuclei.  Unicellular means that each only have one cell. learn more about cell type dow below.

Respiration
Classification of eubacteria also includes respiration. There are two types of respiration, aerobic and anaerobic. Anaerobic means that the organism doesn't require oxygen. Aerobic means that the organism needs oxygen to live.

Motility
Most eubacteria are not motile, but the ones that are, get around by flagella.  For more on motility visit the site below.

Eubacteria features
Eubacteria have many features. The flagella (which the eubacteria may or may not have) helps it to move, the pili helps to grasp things, the Ribosomes help with protein synthesis, the plasma membrane helps to give cell shape, the cytoplasm is the liquid inside the cell, the cell wall provides protection for the cell, and the DNA helps for reproduction.

5 Types of Eubacteria

Anthrax
Anthrax's scientific name is Bacillus anthracis. Bacillus anthracis can affect humans by giving them skin cancer that can clog arteries. Symptoms can include Itchiness, swelling, a black scar, and in severe cases blood poisoning. For more info visit the site below.

E. Coli

E coli's scientific name is Escherichia coli. Escherichia coli is a bacteria that lives in your intestines and breaks down food. Sickness can occur if it gets in your blood. Symptoms can include stomach cramps and vomiting with blood. Escherichia coli is also found in raw meat and vegetables.  Visit the link below to learn more.

Tetanus
A disease that is caused by infection with a bacteria called Clostridium tetani, which is the scientific name for tetanus. It can be found in soil, metal, and dust. it occurs when an open wound gets the bacteria gets on the wound allowing for an easy entrance. Symptoms include stiffness in jaw muscle     (which is why tetanus can also be called lock-jaw) stiffness in neck, shoulder, or back. Also high blood pressure. Picture of tetanus is below along with link to learn more.

Lyme disease
An infection caused by Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria that a deer tick carries. Borrelia burgdorferi is the scientific name for lyme disease. it occurs when a deer tick bites you and releases the bacteria into your skin. The longer the deer tick feeds the greater the chance of the disease happening. Symptoms include getting bit by a deer tick and having the bacteria put in your body.  To learn more click on the link.

H. pylori
A spring shaped bacteria found in the stomach. Because of its shape, it can easily penetrate through the stomachs protective lining and weaken it making it less resistant to the gastric acid. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, loss of appetite and nausea. h. pylori's scientific name is helicobacter pylori.  Visit the link below for more info.

10 Facts on Eubacteria
1. There are more eubacteria in a human boy than there are people
2. Eubacteria can survive in almost any environment.
3. Eubacteria are anaerobic or aerobic
4. They are either heterotrophic or autotrophic
5. There are more eubacteria than any other organism
6. Eubacteria have a cell wall made out of peptidoglycan
7. Most eubacteria don't move.
8. Eubacteria reproduce asexually through a process called binary fission
9. They are decomposers
10. Without bacteria a human could not function
11. Cleaners that get rid of 99% of bacteria are bad, because you need bacteria to live
